How to tether two cameras to one phone at once
Two bodies, one phone, every shot from both in the right place.
Why tether two cameras
Wedding and event photographers often carry two bodies — a wide and a tele — and a studio might run a second angle. Tethering only one means half the day still comes home on cards. With CloudTether one phone can tether several cameras at once.
How to connect them
Connect the first camera as usual over USB or Wi-Fi, then the second. You can mix links — one body on a USB-C cable and another on Wi-Fi works. For Wi-Fi, put the cameras and phone on the same network (a hotspot or travel router), because a phone can only join one camera's own access point at a time.
One album per camera
When each camera connects, choose where its shots go — it's remembered for that camera next time. Send both bodies into one client gallery, or keep a second shooter's frames in their own album with their own destinations.
Keep track of both
The home screen shows a live panel for each camera, and on iPhone each camera gets its own Live Activity on the Lock Screen showing shots captured, sending and delivered.
FAQ
Can I tether two cameras to one phone?
Yes. CloudTether tethers several cameras at once over USB, Wi-Fi or a mix, each into its own album.
Can two Wi-Fi cameras connect to one phone?
Yes, when the cameras and phone are on the same network, such as a hotspot or travel router. A phone can't join two cameras' own Wi-Fi networks at once.
Can the two cameras deliver to different places?
Yes. Each camera goes into the album you choose, and each album has its own destinations.
